This garage addition consists of a large 3 car garage with a roof deck. The garage windows have been carefuly placed to allow for maximum natural lighting, as the homeowner will be using part of the garage as a photography studio. The roof deck is roughly the same level as the main floor of the house, meaning the homeowner can walk right out from their living room. The new entry stair & driveway required a substantial amount of regrading throughout the site. Tiered rough hewn rock retaining walls shape the slope along the front of the property, and concrete garden boxes along the front entry maintain the house's position. The woodframe stairs are bordered by a glazed guardrail system (matching the guardrail at the roof deck).
